Alley Pond was built by people with three decades of hands-on expertise in the acacia gum sector. We supply directly from Sudan's gum belt — the origin of roughly 70% of the world's gum arabic — with our own relationships at collection markets, our own quality assurance at source, and one contact from contract to delivery.

Raw fruit-pulp powder from Adansonia digitata — naturally dried in the fruit, simply milled. Vitamin C, fiber and a clean citrus tang. EU Novel Food approved.
Clean label & natural origin
Gum arabic is a 100% natural tree exudate, wild-harvested from natural acacia forests — not cultivated, not farmed. No fertilizers, no pesticides, no chemicals are used anywhere in the supply chain. The trees simply grow wild across the Sahel. Naturally organic, by its very nature.
Soluble dietary fiber & prebiotic
Acacia gum is a clinically studied soluble dietary fiber — ≈90% fiber on a dry basis — and a single-ingredient prebiotic that selectively feeds beneficial gut bacteria (bifidobacteria and lactobacilli).
Unlike inulin and other fast-fermenting prebiotics, it is exceptionally well tolerated — no digestive discomfort even at doses up to 40 g/day. Heat-stable, acid-stable and nearly viscosity-free at high concentrations, it fortifies beverages, dairy, bakery and supplements without touching texture or taste.
It qualifies for fiber content claims in the US (FDA-recognized dietary fiber, 2021) and the EU.

Wild harvesting supports the livelihoods of millions across Sub-Saharan Africa, keeps the forests standing, and holds the desert back.
